The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire is looking to appoint a Programme Manager to develop, commission and oversee projects and programmes of work to deliver on the Police and Crime Commissioners Criminal Justice and Community Safety Plan. This post sits within the Victim Services and Commissioning team which has responsibility for delivering the PCC’s priorities by placing victims’ interests and well-being at the heart of the Criminal Justice System.

This is an exciting, fast paced and important role, with a specific focus on ensuring appropriate provision of services for victims of sexual violence and abuse, vulnerable victims of fraud and the development of pre and post-trial support.

You will also act as a first point of contact for partnership working and support the development, coordination, tasking and management of new projects, including research into emerging needs to inform policy and commissioning decisions.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to think critically and objectively with a proven track record in programme management and commissioning. An exceptional ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate with stakeholders and partners is critical to this role. Contract monitoring experience will be a distinct advantage.

You will also have a good understanding of the criminal justice system and experience of policy development and implementation. The successful candidate will be expected to complete a security clearance and the role will require the need to work outside office hours occasionally. Access to own transport is a requirement of this post.
