Applications now open for Stop and Search Scrutiny Panel MembersPublished 08/03/2016
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office in Hertfordshire is keen to recruit people from all backgrounds who live or work in Hertfordshire to make a positive contribution to the process of Stop and Search by taking part in the scrutiny process.
The Scrutiny Panel meets six times a year for between two to three hours to discuss, monitor and scrutinise how Hertfordshire Constabulary are carrying out Stop and Search. Training will be provided and members will be subject to vetting procedures.
The Panel is looking to recruit up to 10 new members to take part in the dip sampling of the Stop Search forms in order to achieve greater transparency and involvement in the use of Stop and Search powers across Hertfordshire, and improve public confidence and trust in how the tactic is used.

Closing date for applications is midnight on 25th March 2016. Interviews will take place between 29th March - 8th April 2016. Half day training will be provided subject to successful vetting clearance.
