PCC welcomes HMIC report into Hertfordshire ConstabularyPublished 03/11/2016
The Police and Crime Commissioner for the county, David Lloyd, has welcomed the official inspection into Hertfordshire Constabulary.
On publication of the report by Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary (HMIC), David Lloyd said:
“As always the HMIC inspection is welcomed and is a vital piece of information I use in my role of holding the Constabulary to account.
There are many areas in this report to be pleased with. Residents should feel secure that the force scored highly in keeping people safe and reducing crime, and that it is using its resources well and planning for the future.
HMIC have picked up a number of areas of concern which will feature in the forthcoming Community Safety and Criminal Justice Plan, including some questions about demand management for the future. I will be addressing these points with the newly appointed Chief Constable in our formal hold-to-account meetings this week.”
